Monsters are everywhere - in every country and every corner of the world. They lurk in the silent depths and hover in the cold shadows beyond the campfire's golden glow. Some, the Dover Demon for example, come and go over a period of days or weeks, never to be seen again (except in the nightmares of those unfortunate enough to have crossed their path). Still others, like Champ, appear time and time again, as if to remind us that they continue to dwell just beyond our reach. Here in the United States they are virtually everywhere, roaming forest, prairie, desert and badlands. In fact, they just might be hiding beyond the threshold of your own backyard.
For the curious, we’ve created a handy checklist of 50 monsters from the 50 states that make up these United States. Check it out below, and see what monster haunts your state!
